Pick up our toys and go home

The Washington Post Sunday - - SUNDAY OPINION -

Regarding the May 11 World article “On first day in office, South Korean president discusses talking to North”:

The new South Korean president wishes to bring back the “sunshine policy,” but that never worked.

Seeing that President Moon Jae-in is ushering in this kinder, gentler administration and wants to work with the North Korean dictator, why on earth should the U.S. military defend South Korea?

Let’s pick up our toys and leave that sandbox. Mr. Moon has it all worked out.

Let’s not continue to waste money and military effort playing with such an optimistic president. He and the military of South Korea can handle their own issues with North Korea.
