Although they’re of­ten por­trayed as penny pinch­ers, the Kram­dens’ Brook­lyn apart­ment was within their means. But it still meant that a seem­ingly small $5 raise in monthly rent was a big deal, as ev­i­denced by Ralph’s re­sult­ing rage spi­ral (one of many).
