Man is fa­tally stabbed in South­west home

A 49-year-old man was fa­tally stabbed in­side a South­west Wash­ing­ton home early Satur­day morn­ing.

Po­lice say they re­sponded to a re­port of a stab­bing around 3:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Joliet Street SW. In­side the res­i­dence they found Der­rick Roach suf­fer­ing from a stab wound.

D.C. Fire and EMS trans­ported Roach to a hospi­tal, where he was pro­nounced dead.

Po­lice have not made an ar­rest in the case and are of­fer­ing a re­ward of up to $25,000 to any­one who can pro­vide in­for­ma­tion that leads to the ar­rest and con­vic­tion of the per­son re­spon­si­ble.
