Far less complicated than real space travel

The Washington Post Sunday - - TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION - — Hayley Tsukayama

If the weight of the world is dragging you down, consider using Mars: Mars to take a little trip to … well, you know. This simple game makes you an adventurer on the Red Planet and asks you to guide your jetpack-equipped self from platform to platform while keeping your speed and direction under control. Miss a platform — or come down too quickly — and you’ll fall apart.

As you progress, you can unlock extra goodies that make the game more interesting, including different characters. The game has in-app purchases, but you won’t need them to enjoy the floating, falling and flying in this uncomplicated platformer. Just don’t get too attached to your astronaut.

Free, for Android and iOS.
