Two motorcyclists killed in crash

The Washington Post Sunday - - COMMUTER -

Two motorcyclists were killed in a multi-vehicle crash late Friday on Interstate 695 near Baltimore.

Both were men from the Washington area, one from Prince George’s County and the other from Montgomery County. Their identities were being withheld pending notification of their families.

Four other people involved in the incident were taken to hospitals.

Maryland State Police received calls from motorists reporting a crash shortly after 11 p.m. Friday on the inner loop of the Baltimore Beltway, just before the Sparrows Point exit, southeast of the city.

A preliminary investigation by Maryland State Police showed that the driver of a black motorcycle lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons and drove into the back of a construction vehicle, police said. The driver of the black motorcycle then veered into four other motorcycles, causing them to crash.
