Build that wall

The Washington Post Sunday - - SUNDAY OPINION -

Regarding the July 18 Metro article “Paddlers say Trump security zone is all wet”:

Instead of closing roughly two miles of the Potomac River so that President Trump can have a swell time at his private club in Loudoun County, he should build a wall — and he should pay for it. Mr. Trump took it upon himself to remove from the shoreline hundreds of trees that provided a visual barrier between the golf course and the river. So now, let him and his very wealthy members suffer the consequences, and he and they can view the wall as a reminder of his utter disregard for his neighbors.

This would be a proportional response and much more reasonable for the hardworking Americans whom Mr. Trump so loudly professes to represent. With any luck at all, it can be torn down in less than three-and- a-half years. Neil Steinberg, Leesburg
