Our disadvantage with Russia

The Washington Post Sunday - - SUNDAY OPINION -

Regarding the July 20 editorial “Why a chat with Russia is not just a chat”:

In his dealings with Russia, our president puts us at a disadvantage. The problem is not just that President Trump’s decision to chat with Russian President Vladimir Putin without a U.S. interpreter and notetaker left us to rely on his demonstrably selective and fickle memory, but in relying solely on the Russian interpreter, Mr. Trump decided to rely on Mr. Putin’s word — and forced the rest of us to do so, as well.
