An ar­ti­cle in Sun­day’s Travel sec­tion, which is printed in ad­vance, in­ac­cu­rately re­ferred to a Geiger counter read­ing taken near the for­mer site of the Ch­er­nobyl Nu­clear Power Plant near Pripyat, Ukraine. The mea­sure­ment should have been ex­pressed as 26 mi­crosiev­erts per hour, not 26 siev­erts per hour.

A July 29 Page 1 ar­ti­cle about Emer­son Col­lec­tive’s agree­ment to ac­quire a ma­jor­ity stake in At­lantic mag­a­zine in­cor­rectly de­scribed Emer­son’s con­tri­bu­tions to ProPublica. Emer­son Col­lec­tive, a phil­an­thropic or­ga­ni­za­tion founded by Lau­rene Pow­ell Jobs, has con­trib­uted funds to ProPublica; it does not hold a stake.

A July 27 Metro ar­ti­cle about pro­pos­als to re­name J.E.B. Stu­art High School in­cor­rectly re­ferred to Fair­fax County School Board mem­ber Sandy Evans as board chair. Her one-year term as chair ended July 13.
