E.U. files complaint against Poland:

The Washington Post Sunday - - THE WORLD -

The European Union’s executive branch launched a complaint alleging Poland has curtailed judicial independence in violation of E.U. laws. The European Commission said it sent a “letter of formal notice” that the independence of Polish courts will be undermined by new “discretionary” powers given to the country’s justice minister. The Euroskeptic Polish government has a month to reply.
