Rais­ing a stink over some odors

DA­M­AS­CUS, Pur­dum Road, 26200 block, July 18. A per­son called an­i­mal ser­vices to re­port many farm an­i­mals caus­ing a bad smell at a nearby prop­erty and ques­tioned whether they were be­ing cared for prop­erly. An of­fi­cer viewed sev­eral pens, in­clud­ing a cov­ered barn, with 11 goats, 15 sheep and eight pigs, all of which ap­peared healthy, clean and con­tent. They had ac­cess to food and shel­ter, and there was no un­usual odor. The owner was ex­pect­ing to auc­tion most of the an­i­mals at the county fair in a few weeks.
