Raising a stink over some odors
DAMASCUS, Purdum Road, 26200 block, July 18. A person called animal services to report many farm animals causing a bad smell at a nearby property and questioned whether they were being cared for properly. An officer viewed several pens, including a covered barn, with 11 goats, 15 sheep and eight pigs, all of which appeared healthy, clean and content. They had access to food and shelter, and there was no unusual odor. The owner was expecting to auction most of the animals at the county fair in a few weeks.
Among recent cases reported by the Montgomery County Animal Services Division.
