Guilty plea for woman in fatal DUI collision
An Alexandria woman pleaded guilty Thursday to involuntary manslaughter in connection with a 2016 fatal collision, officials said.
The woman, Kyeshia Arrington, 25, also pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol in the incident. Her vehicle struck Peter Palm, 62, as he was crossing the road in the 200 block of North Henry Street in Alexandria. Palm died of his injuries a month later.
Arrington’s sentencing is scheduled for July 13. She faces up to 10 years for involuntary manslaughter and one year for driving under the influence.
