Driver fleeing traffic stop crashes at D.C. line
Several people were hurt Sunday afternoon when a driver fleeing a traffic stop in Prince George’s County was involved in a crash with a Metrobus at the D.C. border, authorities said.
Prince George’s police said an officer tried to stop the car at about 4:15 p.m., but the driver fled toward the District. Police spokesman Cpl. Mike Rodriguez said the car wasn’t stolen or involved in a crime, so the officer didn’t pursue. However, moments later, the car was in a crash at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Southern avenues in Southeast.
D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Lon Walls said six people were injured, including one adult who sustained lifethreatening injuries. Metro officials
