RICHMOND | Drexel coach Bruiser Flint ignores talk the Colonial Athletic Association had a subpar year and will be a one-bid league when the NCAA selection committee’s work is finished.

Once his top-seeded Dragons (27-6) lost in the championship game 59-56 to Virginia Commonwealth on Monday night, Flint had a ready argument for why his team deserves a spot.

He and other coaches in the CAA say the league’s history in the tournament speaks not only to quality of the teams at the top each year, but also to the quality of the competition overall.
