Lululemon remembers murder victim
Colorful bouquets lined the front windows of the Lululemon Athletica store in Bethesda on Sunday to mark one year since the brutal killing of employee Jayna Murray.
Family, friends and colleagues gathered at the upscale boutique to honor Murray, 30, who was killed in the store’s backroom by coworker Brittany Norwood.
“Jayna shared her joy and love of life with so many,” stated a post on the Facebook page In Memory of Jayna Murray. “Seeing the outpouring of love and friendship over this past year has shown just how many people her brilliant smile touched. She continues to inspire us daily and we ask that you help her spirit live on.”
Murray’s death made headlines across the region because of the violence inflicted upon her and the twisted series of lies that police eventually traced to Norwood.
Norwood was found guilty after a weeklong trial last year and sentenced to life in prison for the crime.
