Skicross competitor did what he loved, family says
CALGARY, ALBERTA | Nik Zoricic’s family says the Canadian skier lived his dream.
Zoricic, 29, died at a World Cup skicross event Saturday in Grindelwald, Switzerland. Zoricic went wide over the final jump and crashed hard into safety nets lining the course.
“Nik’s dream was to make the national team and he did that,” the skier’s father, Predrag Bebe Zoricic, said Sunday.
