13 arrested in connection with cocaine-trafficking network
Thirteen people were arrested Monday after being indicted as part of a network that distributed cocaine in the D.C. area, law enforcement authorities said.
The 13 arrested were among 27 defendants named in an indictment returned Thursday and partially unsealed Monday.
The defendants are charged with conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Raids throughout the area by several agencies netted a shotgun, a rifle, nine handguns, cocaine and marijuana, cash, and five vehicles.
