‘Substandard’ absurdity from Obamacare

The Washington Times Daily - - Editorial -

So what exactly is a “substandard” health plan under Obamacare? If a plan covers hospital bills, doctors’ bills — including preventive-care visits — all subject to a deductible, it’s a substandard plan under Obamacare. The law says you can’t have a deductible for preventive care.

If you are a man or woman over the age of 55 and your plan doesn’t cover maternity and prenatal care, that plan is considered substandard. Obamacare is filled with such absurd requirements.

The word “substandard” was carefully crafted to deceive. It’s just more political rhetoric from the spin-doctor-in-chief, President Obama.

This is one case where I wish I didn’t have to keep my doctor. CHRISTOPHER S. MOODY Gaithersburg
