Poll: Most Kenyans want pres­i­dent to stand trial

NAIROBI | Most Kenyans want to see their pres­i­dent ap­pear in court to face charges of crimes against hu­man­ity.

A poll re­leased Thurs­day found that 67 per­cent of 2,060 Kenyans sur­veyed think that Pres­i­dent Uhuru Kenyatta should at­tend his trial at the In­ter­na­tional Crim­i­nal Court, where he faces charges of or­ches­trat­ing 2008’s post­elec­tion vi­o­lence in which more than 1,000 peo­ple were killed.
