Suspect in triple shootings in custody, faces charges
MCALLEN | A man wanted in an apartment shooting near Houston that left three people dead was captured Sunday, Harris County authorities said.
Johnathan Sanchez, 25, also known as “J Boi,” was captured early Sunday in east Harris County by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitives Task Force, according to a statement from the Harris County sheriff ’s office. Details about the arrest were not available.
Mr. Sanchez has been charged with capital murder in the Nov. 20, 2013, shooting at the Peppermill Place Apartments in a suburb 25 miles northwest of downtown Houston.
The medical examiner’s office identified the slain victims as Yosselyn Alfaro, 21, and Veronica Hernandez and Daniel Munoz, both 17. Each was shot multiple times.
