Sus­pect in triple shoot­ings in cus­tody, faces charges

MCALLEN | A man wanted in an apart­ment shoot­ing near Houston that left three peo­ple dead was cap­tured Sun­day, Har­ris County au­thor­i­ties said.

Johnathan Sanchez, 25, also known as “J Boi,” was cap­tured early Sun­day in east Har­ris County by the Gulf Coast Vi­o­lent Of­fend­ers and Fugi­tives Task Force, ac­cord­ing to a state­ment from the Har­ris County sher­iff ’s of­fice. De­tails about the ar­rest were not avail­able.

Mr. Sanchez has been charged with cap­i­tal mur­der in the Nov. 20, 2013, shoot­ing at the Pep­per­mill Place Apart­ments in a sub­urb 25 miles north­west of down­town Houston.

The med­i­cal ex­am­iner’s of­fice iden­ti­fied the slain vic­tims as Yos­se­lyn Al­faro, 21, and Veron­ica Her­nan­dez and Daniel Munoz, both 17. Each was shot mul­ti­ple times.
