Obamacare, big government not the answer

The Washington Times Daily - - Editorial -

As I watch the confusion and chaos caused by the foolish leaders that brought us Obamacare, it makes me ponder what has happened to common sense in America. This new law is a fine example of irresponsible leadership. It is a measure passed before any of these self-important politicians even took the time to read it fully.

There was no way that any one of the Democrats who voted for this law understood how it was going to work. The now-infamous quote by then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat (“We have to pass this law so that you can find out what is in it.”) highlights the irrationality of these leaders’ thinking. To say that Mrs. Pelosi and her cohorts are out of touch with everyday Americans is the ultimate understatement.

More and bigger government is not the answer, and neither are leaders such as President Obama, making fraudulent claims about this law. Leaders with integrity, self-control, common sense and limited-government values are the answer. MIKE HART Kokomo, Ind.
