Reed returns to practice Wednesday
Redskins tight end Jordan Reed took a big step toward playing Sunday night against the New York Giants when doctors cleared him to participate in Wednesday’s practice.
Reed was still limited thanks to the concussion sustained Nov. 17 against Philadelphia. That cost him Monday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. But he finally passed the necessary neurophysiological tests. He’ll continue to be tested, but barring a setback the next step is a full contact practice and no symptoms the rest of the week.
Washington did not have fullback Darrel Young (hamstring) or tight end Niles Paul (illness). Young missed Monday’s game against San Francisco.
