Linda McMa­hon picked to head Small Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion

Pres­i­dent-elect Don­ald Trump an­nounced Wed­nes­day he would nom­i­nate for­mer pro­fes­sional wrestling mogul Linda McMa­hon to run the Small Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion. Mrs. McMa­hon, the co-founder and for­mer chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of World Wrestling En­ter­tain­ment, said that she was hon­ored to join the “in­cred­i­bly im­pres­sive eco­nomic team” that Mr. Trump had as­sem­bled.

“Our small busi­nesses are the largest source of job cre­ation in our coun­try,” she said.

Af­ter leav­ing WWE, Mrs. McMa­hon twice ran un­suc­cess­fully for U.S. Se­nate in Connecticut. She also founded Women’s Lead­er­ship Live to boost women in the busi­ness world.
