Incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said Presidentelect Donald Trump is now slated to address what he plans to do with his business empire in the new year, after Mr. Trump had originally announced a Dec. 15 news conference to do so.

“This isn’t easy stuff, and so what President-elect Trump is doing with a lot of lawyers and a lot of people involved is making sure that all government ethics are followed, that the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed,” Mr. Priebus said.

“That’s all this is … we’re going to get it right,” he said Tuesday on “Fox & Friends.”

Mr. Trump hinted at his general plans Monday night on Twitter.

“Even though I am not mandated by law to do so, I will be leaving my businesses before January 20th so that I can focus full time on the … Presidency. Two of my children, Don and Eric, plus executives, will manage them. No new deals will be done during my term (s) in office,” he tweeted.
