Bill Clinton says Trump limited to appeals to ‘angry white men’
President-elect Donald Trump knows “how to get angry, white men to vote for him,” former President Bill Clinton told a reporter earlier this month in New York.
According to Politico, Mr. Clinton made the comment to a reporter from The Record-Review at a bookstore in Katonah, New York — about a 15-minute drive from the Clintons’ home in Chappaqua. The ex-president’s comments were only published in the newspaper’s print edition, Politico reported Monday.
“He doesn’t know much. One thing he does know is how to get angry, white men to vote for him,” Mr. Clinton said of the president-elect, according to The Record-Review.
Mr. Clinton also said FBI Director James B. Comey “cost [Hillary Clinton] the election” by announcing that the FBI had reopened its investigation of her email server days before the vote.
