Lewandowski to start consulting firm to aid Trump
Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump’s right-hand man turned TV pundit, is starting a consulting firm in Washington, the ex-campaign manager announced Wednesday.
“Proud to launch our new venture today to support @realDonaldTrump achieve his agenda in Washington D.C.,” he wrote on Twitter, attaching a photo of a press release announcing the launch of Avenue Strategies. Barry Bennett, a senior adviser to Mr. Trump’s campaign, is also on board.
In the news release, Mr. Lewandowski said he had been offered various jobs in the Trump administration but decided “I can best help him outside the formal structure of the government.”
Mr. Lewandowski was fired from the campaign in June, and pollster and veteran GOP strategist Kellyanne Conway was the last to hold that position.
But while he won’t be in the Trump White House, Mr. Lewandowski will be working awfully close to it. According to its bare-bones website, Avenue Strategies is located a block west of the White House at 1717 Pennsylvania Ave., Northwest, in Suite 1025.
