The sim­ple num­bers: 47 per­cent of likely U.S. vot­ers now be­lieve Amer­ica’s best days are in the fu­ture, while 33 per­cent say they are in the past, with 20 per­cent un­de­cided. The sur­vey of 1,000 vot­ers was con­ducted Dec. 18-19.
