‘Queer dance party’ demonstration held outside Ivanka Trump home
Demonstrators descended on the D.C. neighborhood of Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner Saturday night for a “queer dance party” protesting the Trump administration’s climate change policies.
Metal barricades and armed agents kept protesters off the sidewalk in front of Ms. Trump’s $5.5 million home, CBS affiliate WUSA 9 reported. Hundreds of protesters chanted on the street as music blared in the upscale Kalorama neighborhood.
It was unclear whether the first daughter was home at the time of the protest. She was last seen celebrating her youngest child’s birthday in New York City Friday night, the Daily Mail reported.
“We are out here to say, ‘Send a message to protect Mother Earth,’” one protester told WUSA.
