Rosewood / 8:00pm (5) A road trip is in store for Rosewood, Villa and TMI (Morris Chestnut, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Anna Konkle) in the new episode “Calliphoridae & Country Roads” — but expectedly, it’s for business rather than pleasure. After the ex-mayor of a small town is murdered, they consult with the local sheriff (guest star Diandra Lyle). Slade (Eddie Cibrian) runs into postoperation problems, generating Rosewood’s deep concern. Sam Huntington continues his guest role.
The Toy Box / 8:00pm (7) Fresh variations on familiar products are presented for consideration in this new episode. Youngsters from Florida offer a doube-sided book and toy cars that speed right along, while children from California introduce articulated, ballet-themed dolls and a backpack that becomes a pinata. Also, a New Jersey youth suggests fruit-scented, plush characters. Eric Stonestreet (“Modern Family”) is the host.
MacGyver / 8:00pm (13) Murdoc (guest star David Dastmalchian) orchestrates a revenge plan meant to kill MacGyver (Lucas Till) and everyone else at the Phoenix Foundation as the adventure reboot ends its first season with “Cigar Cutter.” The villain gets his former cellmate to target everyone at the organization’s headquarters, but fear not: There will have to be survivors, since the show has been renewed for Season 2. Mark A. Sheppard (“Supernatural”) guest stars.
You the Jury / 9:00pm (5) The title “Online Racism” gives a good idea of the nature of the trial featured in this episode of the unscripted series hosted by former attorney and judge Jeanine Pirro. Lawyers on each side of the case make their arguments, then viewers get to cast their votes for a verdict. If the judgment by the audience in the Western half of the country goes against the outcome determined earlier in the Eastern half, the first verdict will be overturned.
David Dastmalchian guest stars in “MacGyver” Friday on CBS.
