Poll: Fewer see Trump as trustworthy

The Washington Times Daily - - POLITICS - — Sally Persons

A new Gallup poll shows a massive drop among those who believe President Trump will keep his promises.

The poll shows a 17-point drop on this question since February, going from 62 percent to 45 percent among those who believe the president will follow through on his agenda.

Although Mr. Trump saw the biggest drop here among Democrats, going from 37 percent to 16 percent, the president saw a large drop among Republicans and independents as well. Among Republicans, Mr. Trump dropped 11 points, going from 92 percent to 81 percent on this question, and 16 points among independents, going from 59 percent to 43 percent.

The one character question Mr. Trump held the majority on is whether he is a strong and decisive leader. Fifty-two percent believe Mr. Trump is still a strong leader, though that is still a 7-point drop from February’s 59 percent.
