Rosewood / 8:00pm (5) The probe of a schoolteacher’s death leads Rosewood and Villa (Morris Chestnut, Jaina Lee Ortiz) to human traffickers in the new episode “Amparo & the American Dream.” The detectives’ relationship is impacted by something they learn about Slade (Eddie Cibrian). Craft in America / 9:00pm (26.4) Several months after it began, the program’s eighth season resumes with the new episode “Nature,” profiling five artists who make sure to incorporate elements of the natural world into their work. For instance, North Carolina sculptor Patrick Dougherty uses twigs and branches to address environmental issues, while Iowa crafter Mary Merkel-Hess paper and paint to create basket-like objects. Also, a visit to Vermont shows the woodwork of Michelle Holzapfel.
Yukon Men / 9:00pm (Discovery) 11:01pm (Discovery) Still recovering from last fall’s raging wildfire that nearly wiped their remote town of Tanana off the map, the characters on this hit reality show face what may be their biggest challenge yet as the show opens Season 6. Situated 130 miles from the nearest city, Tanana previously has been accessible only by airplane or boat, but after those years of isolation, a polarizing new road connects the town with the city of Fairbanks — thus opening the region to encroachment from the outside world.
Animals / 11:30pm (HBO) 1:30am (HBO) Another new episode called “Rats” features two teenage rodents named Phil and Mike and a scenario that seems even darker than usual: The young rats want to exploit a human baby for profit. Elsewhere, two bees find themselves competing for the “love” of a tulip.
Samuel Huntington stars in “Rosewood” Friday on Fox.
