The Toy Box / 8:00pm (7) Toys resembling dinosaurs long have been favorites of many youngsters, and a modern iteration of one — which the user can walk like a pet — is presented by a contestant from Sacramento, Calif., in this new episode. Also presented for the judges’ consideration: dolls that espouse family values; a parachute-borne slingshot; building blocks that actually are plastic cards; and an outdoor game that changes colors. Eric Stonestreet (“Modern Family”) is the host.
Undercover Boss / 8:00pm (13) The unscripted series in which company chiefs go incognito among their workers resumes its eighth season with the new episode “Taco Bueno,” in which that Tex-Mex restaurant chain’s president and CEO — Michael Roper — gives himself a different hair color and a goatee to get an on-the-floor perspective on his business. While showing just how unskilled he is with a forklift, he encounters one employee who’s particularly unhappy with management.
The Originals / 8:00pm (50) Klaus and Elijah (Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies) throw a party in the new episode “Bag of Cobras,” and they have an ulterior motive in doing so. They want to ferret out The Hollow’s newest deputy, and Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) also has a stake in finding out who that is. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) tries to discover more about the day her parents died, with Freya’s (Riley Voelkel) help. Charles Michael Davis also stars.
