The founder of the Is­lamic State’s Amaq news agency, one of the ter­ror groups largest and most pop­u­lar on­line pro­pa­ganda out­lets, was killed dur­ing a U.S. airstrike in east­ern Syria on Thurs­day. Agency founder Baraa Kadek was re­port­edly en route to a meet­ing with IS leader Abu Bakr al-Bagh­dadi in the town of Mayadeen near the group’s ter­ri­tory in Deir el-Zour prov­ince when he was killed, The As­so­ci­ated Press re­ports.
