Saved from pact in nick of time

The Washington Times Daily - - EDITORIAL -

Anyone who heard President Trump’s speech withdrawing America from the Paris Agreement and still thinks that pact was really about saving the planet is either a pathological believer in anything the mainstream media says or a hardcore member of the ‘commie-crat’ party, whose goal is the destruction of America’s economy.

Mr. Trump laid the facts bare: The pact was about crushing the American economy and the middle class for, supposedly, a two-tenths-degree global temperature reduction over the course of 20-plus years.

Now we know why President Obama signed off on this scam unilaterally. Even the political left in Congress could not have publicly supported it and still gotten reelected.

Now Mr. Obama is whining about his legacy, which based on his eight years in office consisted of turning America into Venezuela. If Mr. Obama had fulfilled his legacy, he would now have an ample supply of toilet paper and would be eating $100-a-pound Kobe beef. The ‘peasants,’ meanwhile, like they are doing in Venezuela, would be using ‘alternative means’ of cleaning themselves and are lucky to eat turnips.
