Pride pa­rade bars gay Trump back­ers

North Carolina mem­bers of Gays for Trump are con­sid­er­ing le­gal ac­tion af­ter they were pro­hib­ited from par­tic­i­pat­ing in the up­com­ing “Char­lotte Pride” fes­ti­val and pa­rade.

Brian Tal­bert said his group shouldn’t be vil­i­fied for sup­port­ing the pres­i­dent at the Char­lotte Pride Fes­ti­val and Pa­rade, Aug. 26-27.

“We wanted to show that we weren’t the racist, bigot, misog­y­nist what­ev­ers,” he told the lo­cal Fox af­fil­i­ate. “We wanted to show that we are Amer­i­cans, love our coun­try and our pres­i­dent. We wanted to be there to cel­e­brate gay pride.”

A Char­lotte Pride spokesper­son said the or­ga­ni­za­tion re­serves the right to deny ap­pli­ca­tions from groups that “do not re­flect the mis­sion, vi­sion and val­ues of our or­ga­ni­za­tion,” a lo­cal Fox af­fil­i­ate re­ported.
