A Florida sheriff is calling on citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights and arm themselves in preparation for a potential attack.

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey posted a six-minute video on Facebook last week after a disgruntled exemployee fatally shot five people at an Orlando business.

“This is war, and you better be prepared to wage war to protect you, your family and those around you if attacked,” Sheriff Ivey says in the video. “I am firmly convinced that as Americans we can no longer sit back and pray the fight isn’t brought to us.”

Sheriff Ivey, who described himself as “one of the most politically incorrect sheriffs in the country,” criticized London police for recently instructing citizens to “run, hide and tell” in the event of an attack.

He then encouraged citizens to obtain a concealed carry permit, attend training and carry a gun on them at all times, whenever possible. He suggested carrying a Taser for those uncomfortable with firearms.
