Sarah Palin rebuked a now-corrected New York Times editorial that repeated a debunked claim that she inspired the 2011 Arizona mass shooting that killed six people and injured Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, Arizona Democrat.

In a Facebook post Thursday morning, the former Alaska governor accused “perversely biased” news media for “attempting to destroy innocent people with lies and more fake news.”

“I’d hoped the media had collectively matured since the last attack on a Representative when media coverage spewed blatant lies about who was to blame. There’s been no improvement. The NYT has gotten worse,” she wrote.
