2 men hit by train in were from Pennsylvania and Maryland
The victims of a train accident outside Union Station were from Pennsylvania and Maryland.
The two men who died were CSX freight train conductors who got out of their train late Tuesday to check out an alert that there was a problem with one or more of their train’s wheels.
They died when they were struck by an Amtrak passenger train.
On Thursday, police identified them as Stephen Deal, 20, of Meyersdale, Pennsylvania, and Jake Lafave, 25, of Cumberland, Maryland.
