Man­hunt: Un­abomber / 9:00pm (Dis­cov­ery) 11:02pm (Dis­cov­ery) Dis­cov­ery’s highly touted scripted an­thol­ogy se­ries de­votes its first eight-episode sea­son to an in­sight­ful look back at how FBI agent Jim ”Fitz” Fitzger­ald (Sam Wor­thing­ton, “Hack­saw Ridge”) brought down se­rial bomber Ted Kaczyn­ski (Paul Bet­tany, “The Da Vinci Code”) through his work in foren­sic lin­guis­tics, end­ing a 17-year reign of ter­ror. The fine cast also in­cludes Chris Noth, Jane Lynch, Keisha Cas­tle-Hughes, Mark Du­plass and Brian d’Arcy James.

Face Off / 9:00pm (Syfy) 12:00am (Syfy) Good­ness, these chal­lenges seem to be get­ting weirdly spe­cific: In a new episode called “Feral Fungi,” the six re­main­ing special ef­fects makeup artists are tasked with cre­at­ing makeup for zom­bies. Not just any zom­bies, though — these par­tic­u­lar walk­ing dead were turned via con­tact with a fun­gal virus. McKen­zie West­more is the host.

(7) Though they haven’t had much luck in stop­ping the se­rial killer who’s des­tined to have Ser­ena (Aria Birch) in his sights, Laura and Nico (Paula Pat­ton, Devon Sawa) put their lives on the line to trap him in the new episode “The Hunter and the Hunted.” Tom (JR Bourne) has con­cerns about the two of them team­ing up, given his role in hav­ing sent Nico’s brother to prison.
