Trump the un-Obama

The Washington Times Daily - - EDITORIAL -

The Obama foreign policy team invested eight years projecting American weakness and equivocation throughout the world by capitulating to Russian, Iranian, radicalIslamic and Chinese provocations, all while divesting in national defense, vindicating Cuban tyranny and proclaiming climate change to be the greatest threat to international order. What an exquisite demonstration of progressivist world leadership.

Is it really any wonder authoritarian thugs are being emboldened to test U.S. resolve? Is it any wonder that, after observing our president negotiate what was essentially the same feckless treaty that enabled his grandfather to develop nuclear capabilities, North Korea’s Kim Jong-un thinks he can out-fox the United States? After all, he observed this same president stand down to Iranian military provocations after signing the treaty. Kim’s behavior is neither “unstable” nor “erratic.” It is quite in-line with expectations learned from his observations of U.S. incompetence and decline.

Enough, then, with the progressive press needling our new president for his every international step or choice of words. If the media want to discuss foreign policy incompetence, their hero wrote the textbook.
