On Novem­ber 5, 2017, God calledDoris King Ran­dall from our fam­ily midst as she took the hand of Je­sus peace­fully and qui­etly as she had lived. She was born Novem­ber 13, 1927 in Win­stonSalem, N.C. to the late Wil­lie and Lil­lian Nash King. She at­tended the Pub­lic Schools of Forsyth County and was a grad­u­ate of Atkins High School. She ob­tained her reg­is­tered nurs­ing de­gree from Kate Bit­ting Reynolds School of Nurs­ing in the City of Win­ston-Salem.

Doris was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band Ge­orge W. Ran­dall, four sis­ters, Cor­nell Hor­ton, Hat­tie Scales, Louise Wil­son and Ber­nice Bess, ve brothers, Wil­lie King Jr., Bob King, Harold King James King and Ralph King.

She leaves not to mourn but to cher­ish her mem­o­ries, her lov­ing sis­ter Anna K. Tar­rant of Win­ston-Salem, NC, a host of nieces and neph­ews and great nieces and neph­ews, who will miss her with all their hearts.

Her love reached be­yond her im­me­di­ate fam­ily and com­mu­nity, she will al­ways be re­mem­bered as a beau­ti­ful and lov­ing spirit watch­ing over us.

Homego­ing ser­vices will be held on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 16, 2017 at Pinck­ney-Span­gler Fu­neral Home, 524 8th Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002. View­ing will be­gin promptly at 9:00, ser­vices at 10:00.
