What was the huge at­trac­tion at a sold-out Warner Theatre on Nov. 16 that caused a dou­ble line of ador­ing fans to stretch all the way around the cor­ner?

Rush Lim­baugh, ladies and gen­tle­man, or more specif­i­cally, as the bright lights of the mar­quee shone: “AnEven­ingWithRushLim­baugh.”

The na­tion’s top ra­dio broad­caster and com­men­ta­tor didn’t dis­ap­point his Wash­ing­ton-area faith­ful, open­ing his two-hour act with a hi­lar­i­ous joke about an el­e­va­tor en­counter with a frus­trated Sen. Hil­lary Rod­ham Clin­ton, New York Demo­crat. (Call us and we’ll tell you the punch line.)

On Nov. 15, Mr. Lim­baugh was the din­ner guest of Vice Pres­i­dent Dick Cheney at the vice pres­i­dent’s man­sion in North­west. The host shared a ta­ble with, among oth­ers, White House se­nior aide Karl Rove and Repub­li­can strate­gist and book­seller Mary Matalin.
