And on your right

There’s one group of tour guides in Washington that always looks forward to the next political scandal — the more outrageous and disgusting the better.

We’re referring to Scandal Tours, an Inside the Beltway mainstay for 17 years. Publicist Deb Fiscella of Center Stage Marketing calls it the “tour that highlights the lowlifes.”

She forwards word to Inside the Beltway that the tour has been updated to include a new Mark Foley attraction on Capitol Hill, obviously honoring the former Florida Republican congressmen who couldn’t keep his fingers off his keyboard.

Other new attractions include K Street, site of recent shady lobbying activity; a Donald H. Rumsfeld departure stop; and updates on the general lame-duck mayhem at the White House.

And if you think from those new attractions that the tour guides (all actors from Gross National Product) are picking on the Republicans, think again. The guides are proud to be “equal-opportunity offenders,” confident “new majority rules scandals will be added as Washington moves into an era of Democratic control in Congress.”
