The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

The catastrophic defeat of the Republican Party on Nov. 7 leads us to conclude:

The big tent does not work. Trying to appeal to groups sworn to our destruction is insane.

Paleoconservatism leads to victory. Neoconservatism is dead. Compromise means more defeat. Surrender in Iraq will annihilate the Republican Party.

Either Big Oil is curbed or we will face more defeats.

TalkingpatriotismwhileprosecutingU.S. Marines is a formula for defeat.

Liberals must be totally driven out of the party or the party is dead.

Unless the party finds a way to deal with the absolute need for universal medical insurance, it can get its votes from the American Medical Association.

Want the Log Cabin folks to show off? Count me out of this party.
