Airport intrusion

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

TSA’s project to implement its airport xray backscatter screening system at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport later this month means that We the People are about to lose one more freedom to this government. This loss of another one of our civil liberties will be in terms of our most sensitive and private forms of privacy, which, we as individuals have: our birthday suits. When is this nonsense going to stop?

Innocent people and elderly individuals already are senselessly accosted, searched and, now soon will be zapped by x-rays under the direction of TSA agents at America’s airports. Americans should be reminded these forms of intrusive searches must conform with 4th Amendment probable cause restrictions under the United States Constitution.

But, of course, the government in general, and the TSA in particular, have no regard for either privacy or probable cause as Washington is more than amenable to allow one million illegal aliens with embedded terrorists as a part of this transmigration to enter the United States annually.

Things will ultimately evolve into a situation founded in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s landmark flick, “Total Recall.” whereby all forms of public transportation security will involve all individuals passing behind huge x-ray screens showing their naked forms in full view to armed-agents as the announcements blare throughout the area, and the signs read, “You must obey, obey, obey.” Earl Beal Terre Haute, Indiana
