Risky leadership

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

I remember the firestorm that was created when the Dubai Ports deal was proposed. Democrats and Republicans in Congress came forward and expressed grave concern for the security of this nation. This deal was killed and now we are all safe!

So I am now waiting for the same kind of firestorm to start over the election since the Democrats will now be in control of Congress. I have far more fear of Democrats like the Caviar Commie Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House and John Conyers the al Qaeda sympathizer as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee than I ever had of the United Arab Emirates operating some of our ports.

Democrats have spent the last five years working to ensure that we lose the war on terror. Through the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party, the mainstream media, they have conducted a nonstop campaign to destroy our war effort in order to get back their power. Now they are in position to make sure we lose the war in Iraq, and the Iraq Study Group appears to be in bed with the Democrats. Democrats could care less about the damage it will do to this country. If we pull out — cut and run — it will result in open season on all U.S. citizens anywhere in the world.

There is an old saying: Self-inflicted wounds hurt the most. The hurt starts in January. Allen E. Barr Stevensville, Montana
