Which more than pleases LSU chancellor and former NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe, who led the space agency from 2001 to 2005. Mr. O’Keefe was selected for the same two-year fellowship during the program’s inaugural year in 1978.

He said becoming a fellow led him from the Pentagon to Capitol Hill to the White House, NASA, and ultimately to his LSU post today.
