Crushing burden

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

Perhaps it is not the overzealous free trade policy that is driving U.S. companies overseas, as alleged by reader Frank Madarasz in his letter to the editor in the July 30 edition, but rather the fact that the U.S. now has the second-highest corporate tax rate among industrialized countries. Democrat promises to raise the corporate tax rate even higher will drive even more companies overseas, where their profits will be safer from greedy government officials. Of course free trade will continue to be cited as the cause; surely a win — for the Democrats. Dave Erchull Tucson, Arizona
