Temporary forever

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

I read with much interest the article in the Oct. 29 edition by Betsy Pisik on the planned closing of the United Nations headquarters for up to three years (page 24). May I suggest that a move of personnel to a lower-rent district such as Darfur, Somalia or Afghanistan would save the UN billions of dollars over the high-rent district they now occupy?

After the repairs are complete, perhaps we could just leave them there. Don Lessard Hayward, Wisconsin
