A mouthful

The Washington Times Weekly - - National -

Democratic Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois plucked the mouse off the plate, dangled it by its tail and devoured it in one bite — to the applause of workers at the gourmet-chocolate company that crafted the critter.

Candy mice — white chocolate on the outside with almond ears and ribbon tails — are a specialty at L.A. Burdick chocolates in Walpole, N.H., where Mr. Obama met Nov. 12 with several company employees and other local women to discuss his proposals to help parents balance work and family, the Associated Press reported.

“This poor little mouse,” the presidential hopeful said, holding up the candy for the cameras. “This is the end of him.”
