Liberal billionaire Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team, is in the crosshairs of conservative radio and TV for bankrolling the anti-military movie “Redacted.”

On Nov. 19, Mr. Cuban lashed out at Fox News Channel personality Bill O’Reilly, saying that Mr. O’Reilly’s relentless criticism over the past month had led to death threats against himself and his employees.

Mr. Cuban, writing at blogmaver, said he suspected Mr. O’Reilly was insincere in his criticism, doing it only for the ratings, so he had someone contact the network to place an ad for the movie — on Mr. O’Reilly’s program.

“They said no problem. Do you want to run the ads in both the live show and the repeat?” Mr. Cuban said. The ad, in fact, did appear on the program, he said.
